Our Beginnings
In March 1971, in the vibrant city of San Pedro Sula, Tiendas Lady Lee was founded, marking the beginning of a business journey that has left a profound impact on the commercial and social development of Honduras and Central America. This first step laid the foundation for what would later become Corporación Lady Lee, one of the most solid and influential business groups in the region.
In its early years, Tiendas Lady Lee focused on the sale of stockings and women’s accessories, standing out for offering innovative, high-quality, and affordable products, with a customer-centric approach focused on the needs of Honduran women. Its modern and approachable business model for the time allowed it to quickly position itself in the minds of consumers.
With vision, commitment, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, the company evolved steadily. The expansion of its product lines reflected its close connection with market trends and the needs of Honduran families. Over time, Lady Lee transformed into a full-scale department store, offering a wide range of home products, including appliances, furniture, technology, decorative items, clothing, and more.
Thanks to its constant innovation, customer service excellence, and strong commitment to quality, Tiendas Lady Lee became the leading home goods retail chain in Honduras. This growth laid the groundwork for a more ambitious corporate vision: diversifying operations, expanding regionally, and generating a greater economic and social impact.
Today, more than five decades later, Corporación Lady Lee proudly celebrates over 54 years of history, playing a key role in the social, economic, and commercial development of Central America.
